New Zealand were 304 for eight, four runs short of South Africa’s 308 at tea on day three of the first Test in Dunedin on Friday.

Kane Williamson was out for 130 with BJ Watling adding 50 as the pair put on 84 for the sixth wicket. For South Africa, Keshav Maharaj has taken three for 82.
