Workshop on first aid training for students held at AUCM

Agricultural University College Mymensingh (AUCM) Red Crescent Society organized a day long first aid training for the student member of society last Sunday. This Workshop was Conducted by emergency response organization SAFE Bangladesh.

Around 36 Red Crescent Society members participated in this workshop held on AUCM campus. The workshop was divided into two part. The first two hours of instruction was about basic first aid training and CPR and the second half was about other emergency response procedure.

Workshop instructor Fahmida Rumi said that “Everyone should know the basics of first aid and CPR to help render aid to a neighbor or loved one. Most cardiac arrests happen at home”.

Joy Kumar Day, Convener of AUCM red crescent society, said “first aid and CPR training should be very useful for any kind of emergency situation in our day to day life. if we became more responsible about around us it can save lots of lives”.

He also said The college authority will continue their activity to make every student aware about this kind of emergency situation.
