Bangladeshi-born scientist Dr. Akhter Hossain and his team discover molecule that controls appetite.

An international team of researchers from Melbourne’s Florey Institute and Cambridge University discovered a molecule, known as peptide 5, plays a main role to determine whether the body needs food or not. The existence of the molecule was known but its purpose was still unknown. The study was conducted by the Head of the Florey’s insulin peptides laboratory, Dr. Akhter Hossain and his team.
