News Hour:

It is now time to cast your votes for the outstanding individuals from the global sports media industry who will be celebrated at the TV Sports Awards (TVSA) 2016 on 24th October at the Fairmont Hotel, Monte Carlo, Monaco.

The thirty nominees, who were unveiled last month, have been shortlisted for their outstanding work across eight categories by an independent committee formed of representatives from influential and well-respected sports media partners. Alongside this is the Play for Change award to recognize a top-class athlete who is responsible for extraordinary social responsibility work.

Voting has opened today and you can submit your vote for each category until 14th October at: tvsportsawards.sportelmonaco.com

Andrea Radrizzani, Founder of Play for Change, said: “The TV Sports Awards is an important event to honour some of the biggest brands and the most influential figures in the global sports media industry whilst using the power of sport to promote positive change in society. Improving the lives of vulnerable children through sport and education is at the heart of Play for Change and the TV Sports Awards offers the opportunity to build a lasting platform of social change.”

The prestigious event, supported by SPORTELMonaco, will feature an array of sporting legends, as well as high-profile guests from the world of sport, media and entertainment. Kate Abdo, broadcaster for Sky Sports and presenter of the Ballon d’Or, will host the event, which will showcase exceptional sports media achievements in aid of Play for Change, a sport and education charity for vulnerable children.
