Samsung, in collaboration with Grameenphone, has launched the Galaxy Note 7 today in Bangladesh in an event held at GP House in Dhaka’s Bashundara R/A. Bangladesh test team captain Mushfiqur Rahim officially inaugurated the handset.

Present at the event were Mohammed Shariful Islam, Chief Human Resource Officer, Grameenphone; Seungwon Youn, Managing Director, Samsung Electronics, Bangladesh; Ravinder Parashar, Head of IOT, M4D & Device, Grameenphone; Solaiman Alam, Head of Marketing, Grameenphone; Sarder Showkat Ali, Head of Device, Grameenphone; Ruhul Alam Al Mahbub, Managing Director, Fair Distribution Limited; and Salahuddin Alamgir, Managing Director, Excel Telecom (Pvt.) Limited, among other officials.

The new Galaxy Note 7 features a water resistant body and advanced S Pen (IP68) with smaller 0.7 mm tip and improved pressure sensitivity, top-of-the-line security that combines Samsung Knox with biometric authentication including a new iris scanning feature, and immersive entertainment capabilities with HDR video streaming capabilities.

New Air Command functions, including Magnify and Translate, enable users to zoom in on the screen or convert languages by simply hovering. Coupled with Samsung Knox, an industry-leading security platform, the Galaxy Note 7 provides heightened security and privacy with highly advanced biometric authentication. The phone also features Secure Folder – a separate folder that adds an extra layer of security to protect private and personal information.

The Galaxy Note7 boasts a gorgeous, curved 5.7-inch QHD Super AMOLED screen, delivering a bold and immersive picture on the screen. The phone also features Game Pack, available through Google Play, including top game titles, an easier redemption process, and new user benefits.

Every edge, surface, and detail of the Galaxy Note 7’s design has been refined to provide a comfortable grip and easier one-handed operation while remaining durable with Corning® Gorilla® Glass 5.
