New World Bank VP for East Asia and Pacific visits Cambodia

World Bank Vice President for East Asia and Pacific, Victoria Kwakwa, is visiting Cambodia during July 4 – 6.

This is Ms. Kwakwa’s first official visit to Cambodia since her appointment in April 2016. She will meet with senior government officials, development partners, private sector, civil society representatives, and beneficiaries of a World Bank-supported project to discuss how the partnership between the World Bank Group (WBG) and Cambodia can be further strengthened.

As the Vice President for East Asia and Pacific, she oversees a portfolio of more than $32 billion in loans, grants, credits, and trust funds across 23 countries.

Ms. Kwakwa was previously the World Bank’s Country Director for Vietnam, overseeing a multibillion-dollar lending portfolio and an innovative knowledge program.
