Japan imposes export restrictions on 80 Russian companies

The Japanese government said on Friday that it is putting export restrictions on 80 Russian enterprises.

Russian mobile phone operator MegaFon, the Federal Service of Military-Technical Cooperation, the Russian Foundation for Advanced Research Projects in the Defense Industry, NPO Lavochkin design bureau, Kamaz truck maker, the Skolkovo Foundation, and the Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology are among the sanctioned companies.

Furthermore, the Japanese government announced that it will soon prohibit the shipment of a number of commodities that “help to boost Russia’s industrial base,” although the list will be created later.
