Dhaka Metro Rail will operate for 12 hours beginning May 31

Dhaka Metro Rail will operate on the Uttara-Agargaon route for 12 hours a day, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., beginning May 31.

MAN Siddique, Managing Director (MD) of Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL), verified the information at a news conference on Thursday, according to UNB.

Dhaka Metro Rail would no longer operate on Fridays, instead of Tuesdays, under the revised schedule.

The 12-hour timetable will be divided into four sections.

The Dhaka Metro Rail will leave the station every 10 minutes during peak hours (from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 3:01 p.m. to 6 p.m.). During off-peak hours (11:01 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 6:01 p.m. to 8 p.m.), the metro rail will depart every 15 minutes.

Meanwhile, Dhaka Metro Rail services would be suspended on Eid-ul-Azha, according to the DMTCL Managing Director.
