Indian RRR’s ‘Naatu Naatu’ wins Best Original Song award at Oscars

Many Indians’ hopes have eventually been realized as team “RRR” has brought honor to the nation again. When RRR’s powerful song “Naatu Naatu” earned the Oscar for “Original Song,” it helped make India a global phenomenon.

Naatu Naatu got the award over well-known performers like Lady Gaga and Rihanna.

The squad was represented by composer MM Keeravani and lyricist Chandrabose in accepting the honor. Actors Jr. NTR and Ram Charan, director SS Rajamouli, singers Rahul Sipligunj and Kaala Bhairava, and the composer are all in attendance at the major occasion.

The first Telugu music to receive an Oscar nomination for “Original Song” is “Naatu Naatu”.

The performers previously performed live. Everyone experienced goosebumps when Naatu Naatu took over the Oscars stage with American performers giving the song its proper due.

Lauren Gottlieb, an American actress and dancer, also moved to the music. Deepika Padukone, an actress, introduced the music and referred to it as a “banger” to the audience.

The audience enthusiastically stood up from their seats to praise Rahul and Kaala’s performance.

Talking about ‘Naatu Naatu’, the song, as mentioned, the lyrical composition by MM Keeravani, high energy rendition by singers Rahul Sipligunj and Kaala Bhairava, unique choreography by Prem Rakshith, and lyrics by Chandrabose are all the elements that make this ‘RRR’ mass anthem a perfect dance craze.

The song competed against ‘Applause’ from the film ‘Tell It Like A Woman,’ ‘Hold My Hand’ from the movie ‘Top Gun: Maverick,’ ‘Lift me Up’ from ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,’ and ‘This Is Life,’ from ‘Everything, Everywhere All At Once’.

The movie is a fictionalized account of the lives of Alluri Seetharama Raju and Komaram Bheem, two Telugu independence fighters. Lead parts were played by Ram Charan and Jr. NTR, respectively. Over Rs 12 billion (1,200 crore) was made by the movie globally. Ajay Devgn, Shriya Saran, and Alia Bhatt also appeared in the movie.
