Syria receives a generous aid package from Bangladesh

With the guidance of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Bangladesh extends its hand of compassion by delivering a humanitarian aid package to Syria via a special flight of the Bangladesh Air Force C-130J.

Upon arrival at the Damascus international airport, the shipment was received by Syrian Deputy Minister of Local Administration and Environment, Moutaz Douaji, and Bangladesh’s non-resident ambassador to Syria, Nahida Sobhan. The Foreign Ministry has expressed its pride in being able to assist those in need in Syria.”

With the goal of alleviating the suffering of those affected by the earthquake in Syria, a shipment of essential supplies was delivered. The humanitarian aid package was filled with an assortment of dry food, medicine, blankets, tents, and winter clothing, all aimed at providing comfort and support. Under the expert care of the International Committee of Red Cross (ICRC), the valuable goods will be properly distributed to those in need.

Earlier, on behalf of the Bangladeshi government and people, President Md. Abdul Hamid, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, and Foreign Minister Dr. A K Abdul Momen sent heartfelt condolences to their Syrian counterparts.

Together with the AFD, BAF, and MDMR, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs effectively handled the entire process of transporting the humanitarian assistance package to Syria.
