The censor board officially approves the clearance of “Shonibar Bikel”

One of the most talked-about movies in Dhallywood for the previous three years, “Shonibar Bikel” (Saturday Afternoon), was eventually cleared by the Bangladesh Film Censor Board on a Saturday afternoon.

Mostofa Sarwar Farooki, a well-known author and film director, confirmed the clearance news.

According to the appeal board, which is made up of actress and lawmaker Suborna Mustafa, former vice chairman of the censor board and general secretary of the national Press club Shyamal Dutta, actress Sucharita, and former additional Secretary Nurul Karim, there are no longer any barriers to the movie’s theatrical release.

The appeals board members watched the movie today (Saturday). According to Shyamal Dutta, there are no longer any limits on the movie’s ability to have a nationwide theater distribution.

Hasan Mahmud, the minister of information and broadcasting, had previously claimed that the Bangladesh Film Censor Board had halted the film after board members at the time voiced their opinions on a number of issues, including the film’s impact on the nation’s internal security and reputation abroad, crime and lawlessness, the hurting of religious sentiments, and the use of profane dialogue.

Bollywood moved forward with the production of a movie based on the same occurrence and beat “Shonibar Bikel” to it as “Shonibar Bikel” struggled for its approval. Indian filmmaker Hansal Mehta stated that his movie “Faraaz” will open in theaters on February 3rd.

Then Farooki and numerous other well-known performers went on the media to demand that “Shonibar Bikel” receive approval before the release of “Faraaz.”
