Wide-body Airbus A-330s will be added to US-Bangla’s fleet

One of the nation’s private airlines, US-Bangla Airlines, has chosen to add an Airbus 330 of the latest generation to its fleet in order to fly flights to various locations in Saudi Arabia, which is home to the country’s largest expatriate Bangladeshi population.

In May of next year, the airlines will first purchase two A-330 aircraft, each having a capacity of 436 passengers, according to a press release the airlines released today.

In order to meet the demands of an increasing number of Umrah pilgrims as well as Bangladeshi expats traveling to various locations in Saudi Arabia, the airlines planned to run flights to Jeddah, Riyadh, and Dammam routes from and to Dhaka beginning in June using these wide-body aircraft.

According to the airlines, flights to several Saudi Arabian destinations will lower the cost of transit for customers from Bangladesh.

Currently, US-Bangla offers flights from the nation’s capital Dhaka to all seven internal destinations as well as international flights to Kolkata, Male, Dubai, Sharjah, Muscat, Doha, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Chennai, and Guangzhou.

There are now 17 aircraft in the US-Bangla fleet, comprising seven Boeing 737-800s, seven ATR 72-600s, and three Dash 8-Q400s.

ATR 72-600 and Boeing 737-800 aircraft will also be added to US-fleet Bangla’s this month, according to the press statement.
