Courtney Love claims Brad Pitt got her sacked from ‘Fight Club’

And it appears that Courtney Love is venting past animosities at Brad Pitt over “Fight Club.”

In an interview with Marc Maron on the “WTF” podcast, Courtney Love reportedly revealed that she was cast by director David Fincher to co-star in 1999’s “Fight Club” with Brad Pitt and Edward Norton.

Love claimed that Helena Bonham Carter, who later played Marla Singer in the movie, had deserved the part.

The lead singer of “Hole” had just seen the critically acclaimed film “The People vs. Larry Flynt” and had just arrived home.

Love claims that she was fired from “Fight Club” after turning down Brad Pitt’s offer to star in a Kurt Cobain movie.

Love asserted that after Pitt and filmmaker Gus Van Sant approached her about a Kurt Cobain biopic, she “went nuclear” on them.

Cobain and Love wed in 1992, and they remained together until his passing at age 27 in 1994.

The Cobain-inspired thriller “Last Days,” starring Michael Pitt, was finally finished by Van Sant, but Love claimed this wasn’t the film Pitt and the director wanted her approval on.

Love declared, “I wouldn’t let Brad play Kurt.” “I blew it up. I’m not a Faust fan. What do you believe to be?

Love continued, “I don’t know whether I trust you, and I don’t know that your movies are about money. I told Pitt that.
