UN Police Day to be celebrated tomorrow in country

Tomorrow will be observed as United Nations Police Day-2022 (UNPOL Day-2022) in the nation, according to a formal announcement made today.

The day is jointly organized by the Bangladesh Police and the United Nations Department of Peace Operations Division.

The International Association of Peacekeeping Training Centers’ annual conference was held right before the UNPOL Day in New Zealand in 2018 and Peru in 2019. (IAPTC).

This year’s 26th annual conference of IAPTC will be held from October 31 to November 4 at the Bangladesh Institute of Peace Support Operations Training (BIPSOT) in Gazipur.

As the special guest, Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal will open the full-day event at the Hotel Pan Pacific Sonargaon in the capital. Other attendees include Inspector General of Police (IGP) Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun and Senior Secretary Md. Akhtar Hossain of the Public Security Division.
