Kosovo launches consular services in Dhaka

The Republic of Kosovo’s embassy in Bangladesh has legally begun offering consular services.

Maliha Iqbal, a citizen of Bangladesh, was given the first visa issued by the Embassy by Kreshnik Ahmeti, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora of the Republic of Kosovo.

Iqbal will attend the Forum for Women, Peace, and Security this month in Pristina, according to a media statement issued by the Kosovo Embassy on Wednesday.

Speaking at the event on Tuesday were the ministry of foreign affairs’ secretary for the west, Shabbir Ahmad Chowdhury, and the Kosovo ambassador to Dhaka, Güner Ureya.

There were representatives from the Bangladeshi government as well as ambassadors.
