U.S. Embassy organized seminar for 100 female STEM instructors

Science, technology, engineering, and math are together known as STEM. The emphasis on creativity, problem-solving, and critical thinking is shared by these four fields. Additionally, they combine to form a thriving and quickly expanding industry.

Sean McIntosh, a public affairs counselor at US Embassy, attended a session for 100 female STEM teachers over the weekend. U.S. Embassy backed the seminar as a part of promoting STEM education.

He emphasized the difficulties and opportunities that women and girls encounter when seeking higher education and professions in STEM disciplines during his speech. A panel discussion with well-known STEM professionals and educators from Bangladesh was also a part of the program.

This seminar is part of an ongoing U.S. Embassy-funded initiative focused on promoting STEM education and careers among Bangladeshi women and girls.

In Bangladesh’s seven divisions, this effort has so far involved nearly 9,000 female students and 700 female STEM instructors.
