Students heading to Russia were bid farewell at the Dhaka Russian House

On August 9, 2022, the Russian House in Dhaka organized a reception and a farewell event for Russian government scholarship students for the 2022–2023 academic year. The decision of Bangladeshi young to choose Russia as their country of higher education was applauded by Maxim Dobrokhotov, Director of the Russian House in Dhaka.

Since 1972, more than 5,000 Bangladeshi graduates of Soviet and Russian colleges have achieved prominent and well-paying careers working in the public, private, and other international organizations both domestically and abroad.

The meeting were also attended by Dr. Md. Jahirul Islam, Monitoring & Evaluation Specialist, Ministry of Education of Bangladesh; Mahmudul Hasan Shamim, Sports journalist and freelance media personality, and Dr. Sk. Anisur Rahman, Senior Scientific Officer, Bangladesh Atomic Energy Regulation Authority (BAERA).

On that occasion, they offered their congrats and best wishes and talked about their actual stays in Russia while there for study time. The Russian House in Dhaka’s Chief of Education Section, Syed Bazlul Hasan Rajib, gave a description of the higher education system at Russian universities.
