Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah appointed as Kuwait’s PM

Kuwait’s new prime minister, Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, was chosen on Tuesday, according to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA).

On behalf of the emir, Kuwaiti Crown Prince Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah issued an order appointing Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah to create a new administration and submit a list of candidates for approval.

Kuwait’s cabinet offered its resignation to the emir on November 8. The emir accepted the resignation on November 14th.

This resignation comes on the eve of a parliamentary session in which the prime minister and many members of his government are being interrogated.

Kuwait’s cabinet is frequently reshuffled.
