A film to be made about Bir Protik Taramon Bibi’s life.

Taramon Bibi, one of Bangladesh’s two female liberation warriors who earned the title of Bir Protik, will be the subject of a film.

As a member of the guerrilla force Mukti Bahini, she was directly active in the Bangladesh Liberation War in 1971. Tanha Tasnia will take on the character of Taramon Bibi.

“I’ve been trying to gather all of the information available to comprehend her personality, and I’ve spent some time reading articles and books about her.” Tanha also stated that the film’s production will begin in December.

The film’s director, Aminur Islam Liton, will be guided by Nasir Uddin Yousuff, a consultant director and prominent cultural figure.

Bibi was born to Abdus Sobhan and Kulsum Bewa in Shankar Madhabpur village, Kurigram District. When she was 16, the Mukti Bahini engaged her as a cook’s assistant and camp cleaner. She was enthusiastic about the war effort and requested that Havildar Muhit of Sector 11’s infantry regiment instruct her. He taught her how to use British 303 rifles and submachine weapons. She was stationed in Sector 11 under Sector Commander Abu Taher’s authority.

Taramon Bibi died on December 1, 2018 at her home in Char Rajibpur Upazila, Kurigram.
