Medi Express delivering medicine to Dhaka doorsteps in just 90 minutes

Digital Hospital has recently launched Medi Express – delivering all the necessary medicines to the doorstep of patients in Dhaka within a promise of just 90 minutes.

Launched as a pilot in late August, by end September over 20 Model Pharmacies have joined, and made well over 1,000+ express deliveries – all with average delivery time of just 70 minutes from calling the Digital Hospital doctor hotline.

To get home delivery of medicines, patients need to upload their prescription into the Digital Hospital App or call 08 000 111 000 for consultation with experienced doctors. Furthermore, the customers can avail of various discounts, coupons, and gifts for buying medicine and health devices under this service.

Following strict health guidelines, the service will also indirectly assist the government’s virus containment activity regarding the coronavirus and help reduce the transmission of the virus from the hotspots of COVID-19, such as hospitals and pharmacies. Digital Hospital has also taken several steps to verify that all government protocols in terms of medicine sales are being followed to ensure the safety of the customers.

Dr. Khaled Hasan, Head of Clinical Operations, said, “DH has always stood by the people with innovative and affordable services, especially during difficult times. By combining digital doctor consultation with Model Pharmacy partners in the community and express delivery of medicine, we can ensure accurate diagnosis and fast support for the patients. No one needs to leave their homes and risk COVID exposure for simple treatments.”

After consultations with Digital Hospital doctors, local pharmacies will check prescriptions and dispense medicines. The required medicines will then be delivered to the patient’s home within 90 minutes.

Digital Hospital is now working with model Pharmacy partners like MediHub E-pharma & stores, Maheera Medicine Zone, Shopnodinga Medical Hall, and many more.
