Deepika contributes to save acid attack survivor’s life

Bala, an acid assault survivor who is fighting for her life, has found fresh hope after celebrity starlet Deepika Padukone extended a helping hand to save her life.

The acid attack survivor, who is suffering from a life-threatening renal disease, need a kidney transplant immediately in order to live. Deepika responded by donating Rs 1,000,000 to the ‘Save Bala’ initiative after hearing about it.

Bala is a real-life celebrity who has appeared in films such as Deepika Padukone’s ‘Chhapaak,’ directed by Meghna Gulzar, and on ‘The Kapil Sharm Show.’

Her condition is deteriorating by the day as both of her kidneys fail, and she is surviving on dialysis. Her decreased immunity is already a threat to her life as an acid assault survivor.

Bala still needed financial assistance to recover from this tragedy, and the Chhanv Foundation is requesting as much assistance as possible.

On the crowdfunding portal Milaap, a fundraising effort named “Save Bala” has begun.
