Bangladesh is interested in exporting resort wear in Maldives

The Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) has requested the Maldivian government to import readymade garments from Bangladesh, especially resort wear and leisure garments.

The request was made by BGMEA President Faruk Hasan during a meeting with Maldivian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Shiruzimath Sami at the BGMEA office in Dhaka on Sunday.

During the meeting, BGMEA President and High Commissioner discussed various aspects of garment exports from Bangladesh to the Maldives. They also discussed possible areas of bilateral trade and cooperation between Bangladesh and the Maldives.

Among others present on occasion were BGMEA Vice President Miran Ali and Maldives High Commission First Secretary Ahmed Fazil.
