Pakistan has a travel ban on citizens of 26 countries, including Bangladesh

Pakistan has imposed travel bans on citizens of 26 countries, including Bangladesh, to curb coronavirus spread. The ban was set by the country’s National Command and Operations Center (NCOC) on Saturday, Pakistan’s English-language daily Dawn reported.

An official from the country’s Ministry of National Health Services said Pakistan had listed different countries in three categories to deal with Covid-19.

He said the Covid test is not mandatory for travelers coming to Pakistan from ‘A’ category countries. However, travelers from Category B countries will need a Corona PCR Negative Test Certificate within 72 hours of the trip’s start.

Also, countries that are in the ‘C’ category; Travelers from those countries cannot come to Pakistan. However, certain people from ‘C’ category countries will be able to travel to Pakistan following the instructions of the National Command and Operations Center.

The 26 countries whose citizens have been banned from traveling to Pakistan are Bangladesh, India, Iran, Bhutan, Indonesia, Iraq, Maldives, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Philippines, Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, South Africa, Tunisia, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Namibia, Paraguay, Peru, Trinidad, Tobago, and Uruguay.
