Dhaka is one step ahead in the livable city index

Dhaka ranks 137th out of 140 cities. The capital of Bangladesh is one of the four worst livable cities with 33.5 points. The 400-year-old city was ranked 138th in 2019 and 139th in 2018.

The Economist Intelligence Unit failed to release the Global Livelihoods Index in 2020. City-based providers and analysts could not gather data due to the terrible lockdown due to the Corona epidemic.

Dhaka’s score in five categories: 55 in sustainability, 16.7 in healthcare, 30.8 in culture and environment, 33.3 in education, and 26.8 in infrastructure.
