After a three-month hiatus, onion imports from India began

Onion imports from India started after being closed for three and a half months.

Traders at Healy Land Port said that although the Indian government has not set a fixed price for onion exports, onion imports are at 50 to 280 USD per metric tonne. These onions are coming from Indore in Madhya Pradesh.

They lifted the ban on exports due to the recent increase in production in India. As a result, the country started exporting onions from today.
