FIFA has made new rules for maternity leave. FIFA, the highest governing body in football, has confirmed that a female footballer will get 14 weeks off when she conceives a child.

FIFA president Gianni Infantino confirmed the holiday at a meeting on Friday. At the same time, he said that if they want to improve football, they have to ensure their future.

The FIFA president has promised to return to his place in the team without any problems after the holiday and to provide all kinds of medical assistance from the administration. Infantino emphasized the need to increase career sustainability and opportunities to improve in women’s football.
