In the women’s IPL, Jahanara and Salma got the team

Jahanara Alam and Salma Khatun, two women cricketers from Bangladesh, are taking part in the Women’s T20 Challenge, organized by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).

A BCCI press release on Sunday confirmed that pacer Jahanara Alam will be participating in the tournament on behalf of Velocity. Another Bangladeshi women’s cricket star all-rounder Jahanara Khatun will play in Trailblazers.

The women’s T20 tournament is going to start on November 4 in the United Arab Emirates. The rest of the team going to take part in the tournament is Supernovas. Supernovas will face Velocity on opening day.

This is the third edition of the women’s IPL. As the COVID situation in India is deteriorating day by day, this event will be held in the United Arab Emirates like the men’s event.

This is Jahanara’s second participation in the tournament but the first for Salma. Jahanara also played in the last edition.

The three-team tournament will be held in a single league format. It will end on November 9.
