Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) Mayor Atiqul Islam and his wife Shaila Shagufta Islam identified corona. The mayor confirmed the matter to the media on Monday morning.
After feeling sick, they gave samples for the Covid-19 test on Sunday morning and the test results were available at night.
Several DNCC officials, including its Chief Executive Selim Reza, Mayor’s APS-2 Rishad Morshed have also been attacked by Corona.
According to the DNCC officials, Atiq faced a crowd last week while visiting the cleaning activities at Godakhali canal in the South Bishal area of Mirpur.
