Claiming Covid-19 ‘immunity,’ Trump ready for an election fight

POTUS Donald Trump on Sunday claimed himself immune to Coronavirus (Covid-19) and ready for a battle as his White House race against rising rival democrats candidate Joe Biden begins its critical final weeks.

Presidents’ doctors gave him the all-clear Saturday to respond to the campaign trail after he was directed no longer a Coronavirus transmission risk — although he has yet to be announced virus-free, and his immunity claim is unproven.

“It looks like I’m immune for, I don’t know, maybe a long time and maybe a short time, it could be a lifetime, nobody really knows, but I’m immune,” Trump said to media.

But it is not yet clear to what degree contracting Covid-19 gives immunity, with early studies suggesting a few months while newer ones have shown it could last longer.

Twitter on Sunday hid a tweet from POTUS Trump in which he insisted he was immune, saying the post violated its rules about misleading and potentially harmful misinformation.

The tweet was still visible once users clicked through the warning.
