Mahmudullah is getting benefit to work out in lockdown

Mahmudullah Riyad, an experienced player of Bangladesh, is feeling comfortable in skill training as he is working on fitness as per the guidelines given by physio and trainer in lockdown.

After the first day of skill training at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur today, he said, “It was good during the lockdown that I was able to work on my fitness.”

He added, ‘I have used a lot of treadmills. There were physio and trainer guides. We communicated every three or four days. We got good results and now we are working with skill, skill is important at the end of the day.

Mahmudullah is one of the 27 cricketers called up for the Test series against Sri Lanka. He did not get a chance in the only Test series against Zimbabwe in the last international test for Bangladesh.

Mahmudullah is getting a chance to revive his Test career as he gets another chance in the team.His batting performance was the main reason behind the omission and Mahmudullah knew it well.

He said he had regular discussions with the batting coach through video chatting in private practice.
