ADB will provide a grant of 3 million to Bangladesh

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) will provide an additional 3 million for the purchase of emergency medical supplies to prevent coronavirus. In terms of money, the amount is about two and a half crore rupees. This was stated in a press release sent by ADB on Thursday.

According to the press release, the Japanese government is providing this grant to the ADB’s Asia Pacific Disaster Response Fund.

ADB Country Director Manmohan Prakash said the ADB was providing assistance to meet the urgent needs of the government to ensure healthcare in Corona. The money will be used to buy emergency medicine, equipment and anti-infectives.

To date, ADB has provided a total of USD 803 million in loans and grants to address the Corona challenge. Of this, ৭ 500 million on May 8; On April 30, it approved 100 million dollars. Earlier, the ADB had provided an emergency grant of 3.5 million for the purchase of protective equipment following the outbreak of the corona outbreak.
