Entry in Italy for Bangladeshi citizens is off for three months

Citizens of Bangladesh will not be able to enter Italy till October 5. The Italian Ministry of Health has issued instructions in this regard.

A note issued by the Italian Ministry of Health states, “No passenger or flight from Bangladesh can enter Italy on the instructions of the Italian Ministry of Health.” Due to the increased risk due to the coronavirus epidemic, no airlines will be able to bring any passengers from Bangladesh. Even passengers who come from Bangladesh cannot be brought on any transit flight.

Receiving instructions in this regard, various foreign airlines in Bangladesh have sent letters to travel agencies.

As the Corona epidemic spread, Italian expatriates started coming to Bangladesh from last February. They recently had the opportunity to return as the situation in Corona, Italy, was normal.

According to Biman, three chartered flights of Biman took Bangladeshi passengers to Italy in June. Of these, 269 returned to Rome on 23 June, 259 on 16 June and 281 on 27 June. A total of 1,085 Bangladeshis returned to Italy on Biman’s chartered flight from June to July 2. Now, this process has stopped.
