Thoughts are afoot to reduce HSC exams in Bangladesh: Education Minister

Thoughts are afoot to reduce the number of Higher Secondary Certificate exams this time and take them in less time, stated the Education Minister. Dipu Moni.

She said this at a virtual seminar organized by Education Reporters Association, Bangladesh (IRAB) on Saturday.

The education minister said there was no rationale for reducing the syllabus of this year’s HSC. Because they have completed their syllabus. we are thinking, can we do that in less time? Can I take a small number of tests? We are all thinking about all possibilities.

She added that the test will be taken 15 days after the education situation improves again. Students need to get at list 15 days’ notice. They need to get time to prepare.
