Anti-drugs awareness cycling rally held at Mymensingh

An anti-drug bicycle demonstration was held for the first time in Mymensingh with this slogan “Just Say No to Drugs”. Dhaka Round Table has organized the rally on 20th of September with the help of local organizations. More than four hundred cyclists and participants took part in this occasion.

The rally was initiated on Friday (September 23) at 10 am at the Circuit House grounds. Additional DIG of the Mymensingh Police division range. Mr. Dr. Akkusuddin Bhuiyan inaugurated the ceremony. District Police Super Shah Abid Hossain, Additional Police Super Humayun Ahmed were also present at the time.

The chief guest Dr. Akusuddin Bhuiyan said, “Young people have to play a strong role in creating awareness against drugs. At the same time, it is possible to get a drug free country with the cooperation of all.

The guests started the rally by riding a bicycle. The cyclist group – BAU Cyclist, Mymensingh Cyclist, Mymensingh Stant Boys, and Women’s Cycling Club participated in this rally. Also, the other registered cyclist joined it.

The Rally started from Circuit House ground and ended with the closing ceremony at BAU helipad. In between this route they touched Zero Point, BatirKol, Notun Bazar Turn, Charpara, Maskanda, Maskanda Bypass, Kewatkhali Bypass, and KB College.

Durant Bicycle was the sponsor for the event and Associate Organizers were the BD Clean-Mymensingh and AKM Fazlul Haque Memorial Foundation.
