Made in Bangladesh Movement by Salehin Chowdhury

Recently, Salehin Chowdhury, a Bangladeshi expert on Global Brand Communications, has started a movement named “Made in Bangladesh“.

Made in Bangladesh is a platform where Bangladeshi local brands come under one umbrella and share their views on their needs and their experiences to go into the next level of globalization.

This is basically a social platform where periodically Bangladeshi local brands who are engaged in manufacturing and trading including garments, automobile, furniture sector, FMCG and Other industries.

These companies who have started going global with a strong message of quality and the commitment of Bangladeshi made brands across the globe like India Nepal Malaysia Australia Canada Bhutan USA Zimbabwe and to many other prospective countries. This initiative can be shaped in the form of an annual event or a digital platform through open group discussion and also through activations.

Mr. Chowdhury believes it is the need of time considering the progress Bangladesh is making in terms of industrialization and globalization as the garments industry has been the flag bearing of Bangladeshi manufacturing.

Mr. Chowdhury further said, “We need to include few Other industries who are going to that direction and hence call a social movement to make sure we together make the right moves on the right context and ensure the smooth growth of Bangladeshi brands for future.”

Mr. Salehin Chowdhury is an expert on Global Brand Communications, Also have exposure on Branding Local Products and Services, have versatile experience on all segments of ATL and BTL Communications, along with B2B and B2C background in terms of Product, Service, and Social Branding. He has special skills on Startup ventures Brand Formulation with cost-effectiveness and high integrity.

Throughout his career, he has an enriched experience on Brand Communication and Marketing and worked with Brands like OTOBI, RUNNER, The City Bank Limited, Premier Bank, BanglaCAT, Abdul Monem Limited, Bengal Foundation, Jamuna Group, Lubnan Trade Consortium, Canadian University of Bangladesh etc. Currently, he is a Research fellow doing his Mphil in the topic ‘Globalization strategies of Local brands’ at Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP).
