Grameenphone and Maximus jointly launched co-branded 4G smartphones

Grameenphone Ltd. and Maximus jointly launched two co-branded smartphones Maximus D7 and Maximus P7 at GPHouse. Among these two smartphones Maximus D7 is the cheapest 4G smartphone in the country. High officials from Grameenphone and Maximus were present at the gala ceremony to launch these two smartphones.

These 4G smartphones are being launched to ensure mass adoption of 4G in every corner of the country. A campaign has been designed to highlight the positive aspects of the internet era and how people can explore their talents and get closer to their dreams through the use of the internet and smartphones.

Sharing his enthusiasm, Yasir Azman, Deputy CEO & CMO, Grameenphone, stated, “Bangladesh has seen a significant development in the past two decades and mobile communications is one of the major drivers behind this development. A digital economy powered by 4G will lead in the next phase of development. After launching 4G in February 2018, Grameenphone has seen phenomenal growth in 4G adoption. We are introducing these affordable co-branded 4G smartphones to help our valued customers to reap the benefits of digital development.”

Grameenphone is bringing Maximus D7 & Maximus P7 at an attractive price point with GP data bundle. There will be 8GB of free internet for both smartphones where the customer will get FREE 4 GB 4G data and 4 GB Bioscope Streaming (validity 7 days) on first time tagging. Also, after valid tagging, on purchase 1 GB data (validity 7 days) at BDT 24 (inclusive all charges), FREE 1 GB 4G internet (validity 7 days). Customers can avail this offer 12 times over 6 months. Also, customers will get an additional 10 GB 4G data with 14 days validity for the purchase of Maximus D7 and Maximus P7 4G smartphones through the MyGP app for first 2weeks after launching.

Speaking on the occasion Riajul Islam, Chief Operating Officer, Mobile & Distribution Division, Union Group said, ”These are not merely co-branded smartphones, experts from Grameenphone were involved with us from design to every stage of production. GP co-branded Maximus D7 which is the lowest priced 4G smartphone ever; has the strongest GPS in a 4-inch display smartphone. It equipped with a 1.3 GHz Quad Core processor and 8 GB internal memory. The model is a 4G smartphone supports dual SIM, and has 1 GB RAM. The 5MP rear camera and 2 MP front camera provides the best experience of 16M True Color at the price of BDT 3,499. The smartphone is available in Jet Black, Indigo Blue, and Blonde Gold colors.

GP co-branded Maximus P7 has a 5-inch HD IPS display (Sunlight Adaption) with 5MP rear and 5MP front camera. This smartphone has 8GB of internal memory with 1 GB RAM. Running with Android 8.1 (Go Edition), Maximus P7 has a 1.3 GHz Quad Core processor. This smartphone is available in Jet Black, Electric Blue, and Copper Gold and priced at BDT 4,699.
