Hong Kong stocks opened with slight gains on Tuesday

Hong Kong stocks opened with slight gains on Tuesday after the previous day’s sharp losses, as investors turn their attention to the US midterm elections, which are seen as a referendum on Donald Trump’s presidency.

The Hang Seng Index added 0.16 percent, or 41.40 points, to 25,975.79, reports BSS.

The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index lost 0.18 percent, or 4.71 points, to 2,660.72, while the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China’s second exchange, fell 0.37 percent, 4.96 points, to 1,346.04.
