US Bangla plane executed an emergency landing in Chattogram

A plane of US Bangla Airlines, which was flying from Dhaka to Cox’s Bazar today executed an emergency landing in Chattogram due to nose gear issues. No casualties or fatalities have been reported so far.

Quamrul Islam, General Manager of US-Bangla Airlines said a flight of US-Bangla Airlines- BS-141, took off from the Dhaka airport at 11:30 am. As a technical glitch developed, the flight made an emergency landing at Shah Amanat International Airport as there was no facility for making an emergency landing at Cox’s Bazar Airport, reports BSS.

All 153 adult passengers and 11 children, two pilots and five crews are safe and sound, he added.

However, flight operations to and from airport remained suspended till filling of this report at 4.30 pm, airport manager Sarwar-e-Zaman, told reporters.

The authorities of US-Bangla have taken steps to reach all the ill-fated flight passengers by a special bus by road, Zaman, added.

He said a special Boeing-737 engineering corps is expected to reach CSAIA to remove the incident-prone US-Bangla aircraft.
