Art camp on Bangabandhu held at Shilpakala Academy

A total of 50 famous artists today crafted different types of art works on Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at an art camp at the Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy in the city.

Shilpakala Academy organized the art camp titled ‘Bangabandhu and Bangladesh of Our Dream’ at Jatiya Chitrashala Plaza marking the 43rd martyrdom anniversary of Bangabandhu.

Noted painter Samarjit Roy Chowdhury inaugurated the camp at a function with Shilpakala Academy Director General and eminent dramatist Liaquat Ali Lucky presiding.

Addressing the inaugural function, Samarjit said Shilpakala Academy is paying homage to the memory of the greatest Bengali of all times Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by organizing the art camp.

Liaquat Ali Lucky in his presidential speech said the Shilpakala Academy has been organizing the art camp for the last several years.

All of the paintings painted by the artistes will be preserved in the academy, he said.
