Niaz Murshed finishes as runners-up in Manhattan Open Chess

Bangladeshi Chess Grandmaster GM Niaz Murshed finished as joint runner-up in the 16th Manhattan Open Chess Tournament which concluded recently in Manhattan, New York.

GM Niaz and other 3 players earned 4 points each and finished jointly runner-up.

IM Andrey Gorovets emerged champion with 4.5 points. Niaz won against Sameer Mujumdar, FM Kyron Wa Griffith and FM Levy Rozman and drew with Brandon Nydick and IM Kaiqi Yang. He also got five hundred US dollars as cash prize.
