Elite athletes are using wearable fitness tracker “Whoop”

A new wearable fitness tracker called Whoop is being used by elite athletes like Lebron James and Michael Phelps and tracks more data than ever before.

Whoop became very popular in the last couple of years and now college and professional athletes in the main sports, Olympians and the military investing in the device. Resurfacing once again now at the Rio Olympics as the most used, popular and accurate wearable device.

Whoop is a Boston-based company and it was founded in 2012 by Will Ahmed and two Harvard graduates with the MIT Media Lab’s founder as their adviser.

Apart from all other market available devices, Whoop can continuously measure necessary biometrics for high-performance athletes.

It measure From HR changes 100 times per second to skin conductivity, sleep patterns to the VO2 max, all to analyse better how your body handles the strain of training, working out or performing and most importantly, how fast it recovers.
