Gulf Air celebrates 30 years of operations between Bahrain and Istanbul

Gulf Air, the Kingdom of Bahrain’s national carrier, recently celebrated the 30th anniversary of its direct operations to/from the city of Istanbul in the Republic of Turkey. Marking the occasion, the airline invited leading Turkish trade partners and media representatives to a celebratory dinner held at CVK Park Bosphorus Hotel.

The dinner was hosted by Gulf Air’s newly-appointed Country Manager Mr. Shadi Raweh, who welcomed the guests, sharing information about Gulf Air’s latest developments and thanking them for their loyalty and continued support of the airline. Speaking at the dinner Mr. Raweh said: “We are delighted to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Gulf Air’s direct service between Turkey and Bahrain. Istanbul is a key destination for our customers travelling for either business or leisure and our upcoming summer schedule will see an increase of our operations to and from Istanbul to daily flights to meet passenger demand for this popular destination. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank our key industry partners in Istanbul who are integral to the growth of our airline.”

Launched in 1986, Gulf Air’s operates direct 5 weekly flights to and from Istanbul Atatürk Airport which will increase in the summer period to daily flights (from July until end of August).
