Orbis darkness to go 2016

News Hour:

Darkness often relates us to unpleasant sensations such as fear, helplessness and despair. Darkness also reminds Orbis about blindness. Through Orbis, you can help to eliminate this negativity by building a brighter world together.

This summer, Orbis  are teaming up with leading local designers, multimedia producers, media organizations and top retailers all over Macau to launch a new ‘Darkness To Go’ initiative. Running from June 25 to July 27, the campaign warmly invites people all over Macau to help eradicate darkness from needlessly blind lives by buying selected ‘Darkness To Go’ items at participating retailers. In return, the retailers will donate all or part of each item’s sales revenue to our global sight-saving work.

In addition to hair salons, boutiques and restaurants, the 50 or so partners already on board include toy stores, medical centers and florists. Such a wide variety means it is incredibly easy to help save sight as you go about your daily life. While each retailer is helping to build Macau’s economy by carrying their own local brands, they are unselfishly joining together to help others less fortunate than themselves to regain their sight.

Better still, you can contribute more when you pull out your OCBC Wing Hang Orbis credit card at any merchant in Macau. For every local transaction you make with your card during the month-long campaign period, the bank will double its usual 0.3% donation by pledging fully 0.6% of your purchase’s value to Orbis!

Regardless of whether you are a local citizen, a store owner, a design guru, or a media bigwig, your bit could help the needlessly blind to escape from darkness by supporting “Darkness To Go” !
